My Version

My practice and play is formed with a deep exploratory nature.

I predominantly use my voice, but open to all instruments and objects that create sound. Following more of a intuitive approach and exploration of concepts than set languages of music theory, I fall within the constellations of process music, walker between worlds and installation art

Process and surrendering to the mystery guides my creative output. This entwines with interests of learning about composing the other senses, connecting to non-human environments-life, and using music technology in a balanced way.

That said, I still have a deep love for traditional and popular cultures of music. I curate my partner's hair salon playlists and I've been making albums for my bandcamp page for a number of years. These interests pull me towards non western music theory systems and philosophies of sound, whilst keeping things simple and discovering lesser known gnarly caverns of music are forever whispering in my ear.

I’ve been formally shaped by short stints in India studying Hindustani classical vocals, the Australia Art Orchestra’s CMI, studying sound and spatial practice within the Fine Arts degree at RMIT Melbourne, and a course on metaphysical music experiences with Laura Inserra. These bases of knowledge have informed my practice and are a great part of my journey.

The destination is always shifting, but I know I'm on the path with music to learn about the self, all life and the depths of sound.

More Than Sound

Ancient and modern cultures have harnessed the depth of sound/music and use it as a tool. Here are some artists and articles that i find inspirational to my work, that tap into ancient and modern ideas of sound and music.
